An investment firm is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. In this role, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for financial reporting, tax, internal controls, reconciliation, and other month-end close duties. What do you need for this Senior Accountant role?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• 4-8+ years of accounting experience
• Active CPA or super close to it
• Must come from public accounting, outsourced, accounting, business management, or have investment accounting experience
• Advanced Excel
• Multi-entity accounting experience a great plus but not key

What will you do in this Senior Accountant role?

• Oversee and execute day-to-day accounting and financial reporting activities to ensure accurate and timely financial data
• Maintain comprehensive and compliant accounting records, and support the development and enforcement of accounting policies and procedures
• Contribute to the monthly management reporting process, including the preparation of supporting schedules, worksheets, and narrative summaries
• Assist in the preparation of budget-to-actual variance reports, including investigation, documentation, and follow-up on significant deviations
• Document and continuously improve process workflows, policies, and procedures for assigned responsibilities
• Uphold financial security and integrity by adhering to and strengthening internal controls
• Verify supporting documentation and request payment disbursements in accordance with approval policies
• Support daily banking operations, including reconciliations, resolution of bank-related issues, targeted balance monitoring, and use of online banking tool
• Prepare accurate and timely journal entries and perform reconciliations as part of the monthly general ledger close process
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards
• Support financial audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
• Provide regular cash activity summaries and assist with journal entries related to cash and investment accounts
• Participate in the implementation and optimization of financial reporting systems and tools as identified or required
