Athletic Trainer

Location: Geneva, NY (Finger Lakes Region)

Salary: Competitive compensation based on experience; hourly pay with overtime eligibility

Overview:

A leading health system in the Finger Lakes region is seeking a New York State Certified Athletic Trainer to support athletic injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation across both school systems and clinic environments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide athletic training services under physician supervision for injury prevention, conditioning, and rehabilitation

  • Apply appropriate preventative and supportive techniques for athletic injuries

  • Educate coaches, athletes, parents, and medical personnel on injury prevention and care best practices

  • Work in both clinical and school settings, including event coverage per health system contract

  • Maintain accurate records and comply with safety and confidentiality guidelines

  • Participate in a flexible schedule based on sport seasons and facility needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field required; Master’s degree preferred

  • Must have New York State registration and licensure as a Certified Athletic Trainer

  • NATABOC Certification required

  • BLS Certification (must be completed via RQI system during orientation)

  • Must be 21 years of age or older (per NYS regulations)

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • 1–2 years of experience in a high school or clinic/physician practice setting

  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Flexible with work sites, schedules, and responsibilities
