Communications Consultant (Part-Time)

Location: Onsite near Newark

Hours: ~10–15+ hours per week (with potential for more)

Duration: Ongoing Contract

About the Role

LHH is seeking a dynamic and strategic Communications Consultant to support one of our key clients in the supply chain sector. This part-time, ongoing role is ideal for a communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced, operationally complex environment and can deliver high-impact messaging across internal and external channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication strategies that align with the client’s supply chain goals and transformation initiatives.
• Draft, edit, and distribute internal communications including newsletters, leadership updates, facilitate town halls and change management messaging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., HR, operations, logistics) to ensure consistent and timely communication.
• Support external communications such as vendor updates, stakeholder briefings, and branded content.
• Monitor and report on communication effectiveness using metrics and dashboards.
• Provide strategic counsel to client stakeholders on tone, timing, and delivery of key messages.
• Maintain brand voice and compliance with corporate communication standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, preferably in supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a portfolio of internal and external communications.
• Experience with communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and intranet tools.
• Familiarity in the Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to evolving client needs.
• Familiarity with change management and organizational communication best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
