Clinical Duties:

• Preparing Patients:
  Dental assistants greet patients, seat them in the treatment area, and prepare them for procedures by explaining what will happen and ensuring their comfort.
• Assisting During Procedures:
  They pass instruments to the dentist, suction fluids, and help with various procedures like fillings, extractions, and root canals.
• Sterilizing Instruments:
  Maintaining a clean and safe environment is crucial. Assistants sterilize instruments and equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
• Taking Impressions and X-rays:
  They may take impressions of teeth for study models or create dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Applying Fluoride and Sealants:
  Some assistants, depending on their training and state regulations, may also apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants to protect teeth.

Administrative Duties:

• Scheduling Appointments:
