Direct Support Professional (Part-Time, Onsite)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide transportation and support in the community—accompany individuals on outings, field trips, medical appointments, and shopping trips.
  • Help build daily living skills by assisting with meal preparation, household cleaning, and medication reminders.
  • Guide and encourage personal growth, supporting goals like community participation, budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational activities.
  • Assist with essential living skills, including personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing, to promote independence and dignity.
  • Support individuals with a variety of needs, including developmental, behavioral, and mental health challenges, ensuring compassionate, personalized care.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Documented 5 years of caregiving experience can be substituted for education)
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with insurance
  • Successful clearance of background checks
  • Strong communication, adaptability, teamwork, and time-management skills
  • Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible mindset
