Trimble is seeking a leader to drive data governance and management practices. This is a key leadership role reporting to the Senior Director of Data Ecosystem, responsible for enabling Trimble to effectively leverage data assets to achieve its strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and implementing data governance programs within a SaaS company. The successful candidate will be strategically minded with an execution oriented preference in order to deliver quick results in support of business priorities. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and enforcing a comprehensive data governance framework, leading data management practices such as data acquisition, integration, quality management, and metadata management, partnering with various business and functional units to ensure alignment with governance policies, driving Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, developing Data Quality Management (DQM) processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, delivering best practices and communication leadership, defining and tracking KPIs for data governance initiatives, and providing leadership for unified data architecture and vendor consolidation. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or related field (advanced degree preferred), 10+ years of experience in data governance or related roles in SaaS companies, demonstrated success in implementing data governance frameworks, strong understanding of data management principles, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, strong analytical skills, experience with cloud and data technologies (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks), and knowledge of data security and privacy best practices. Certification(s) in data governance are preferred.
