Job Title: Electronics Technician III Location: Columbus IN – Onsite Schedule: Monday to Friday, Flexible hours between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to support Controls Lab operations at Cummins. This technician will play a hands-on role in the troubleshooting, configuration, and support of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test systems and lab equipment. The position involves completing technical work orders, collaborating with engineering teams, and ensuring all lab systems operate efficiently and reliably. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and complete work orders related to test system setup and maintenance Support hardware setup and system configuration for HIL test environments Troubleshoot and resolve test equipment software and hardware issues Perform setup changes for test benches and systems as required Install and configure support software tools such as CyberApps, LUIS, and related sequences Modify wiring harnesses to integrate sensors, instruments, and engine components (e.g., IAT, EGR, VGT) Document hardware configurations including serial numbers, hardware types, and system load drawers Maintain CAN panel and actuator cart configurations Conduct system calibration, scheduled maintenance, and harness checkouts Assist in development of custom test equipment and documentation Provide general lab support including equipment organization and follow-up on hardware returns Support training material updates and troubleshooting guide contributions Participate in lab inventory upkeep, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate with hardware engineers and technical teams on project support needs Top Skills Required: Knowledge of electronic circuits System troubleshooting experience Familiarity with electronic tools and data measurement systems Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a technician or technical support role Strong hands-on experience with electronic systems and lab testing environments Ability to interpret and execute test setup requirements Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
