Job Description:
Saab is seeking a Field Service Engineer with a technical background in ground-based radar, sensors, electronics, and/or electro-optical systems to join our mission-critical team. This role involves hands-on support of advanced sensor systems, contributing to the maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational readiness of complex technologies used in defense and surveillance environments. This position requires travel on short notice, with assignments that may exceed two weeks. Candidates must be able to work effectively in demanding operational settings.
The ideal candidate will apply professional concepts and problem-solving techniques to resolve issues ranging from routine maintenance to moderately complex system anomalies, all within the framework of defined procedures and standards.
Responsibilities include:
· Diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs and debugs complex systems utilizing manuals, schematics, and reach back support for various electro/mechanical issues that may arrive within the system.
· Performs software installations at site and support data collection events for analysis.
· Troubleshoots and resolves complex issues independently or in collaboration with others.
· Reports design, reliability, and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering.
· Acts as the main interface with customers while at site.
· Support other company functional areas such as customer installation and training.
· Deliver training to customers on operations and maintenance of Saab products.
Compensation Range: $70,000 - $87,000
