Step into a pivotal role with a premier hospital, as an Operations Pharmacist supporting a 492-bed facility that includes a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center. This is an excellent opportunity to provide essential operational support in a dynamic and high-acuity inpatient setting.
Schedules Available:
Position 1 Night Shift9:30 PM 8:00 AM
Position 2 Evening Shift 10:00 AM 9:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the Operations Pharmacist and primary pharmacist on duty
Oversee daily operations and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians
Provide remote order verification during overnight hours
Triage pharmacy-related requests and collaborate with medical providers (no ER or emergency response required)
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacist experience (NICU exposure preferred)
Alabama pharmacist license required by interview or in active process with commitment to obtain by start date
Strong independent judgment, communication, and collaboration skills
Departmental & Technological Support
Work alongside multiple daytime pharmacists and two overnight operations pharmacists (transitioning to one in early mornings)
24/7 pharmacy technician support
Integrated collaboration with medical providers and full departmental backing
Advanced systems including Cerner EMR, Omnicell, Sentri 7 surveillance, and IVX for sterile compounding verification
