Job Description - Part-Time After-School Math Teaching and Tutoring 9-12, including AP

This part-time position involves being a member of team of achievement-oriented, enthusiastic, energetic and engaging teachers who teach and tutor students in math in our Millburn location. This position requires being able to teach across match curriculums and grade levels from basic Algebra through AP Math BC, SAT/ACT math. We keep a small student-teacher ratio. Our academy hours are 3 to 7 pm after school, Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 to 12 noon on Saturdays. This position is for 10 to 18 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching and assisting middle and high school students Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus through AP BC, SAT/ACT math
• Grading homework, providing oral and written feedback and analysis to students and parents
• Motivating and inspiring students, helping students set goals, and developing individual plans to attain them.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA or higher in math, physics, chemistry or engineering
• Ability to teach AP Calc AB/BC
• Minimum 3 years of New Jersey high school teaching experience, public or private
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Living abroad experience preferred
• Foreign language skills
• Live within a 30 minute driving radius of Millburn, New Jersey
• Must reside in the United States and be legally eligible to work 

3 references required from a parent, supervisor and colleague
