What We're Looking For

We are seeking a Chinese Translation Reviewer to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and cultural relevance of our website's Chinese translations, focusing on investment-related content. Your primary audience will be in Taiwan and Hong Kong, with support for simplified Chinese audiences as needed. You'll work closely with our content and localization teams to enhance overall translation quality.

• Review and spot-check automated translations of our investment-focused website content into Chinese, with a focus on traditional Chinese for Taiwan and Hong Kong audiences.
• Ensure translations accurately convey the intended message and are culturally appropriate for Chinese-speaking investors.
• Identify and correct errors in grammar, context, terminology, and especially inaccuracies related to investment concepts.
• Provide feedback on recurring translation issues to help improve our automated translation system.
• Work independently following a flexible working schedule that accommodates academic or personal commitments.

REQUIREMENTS

• Native or near-native proficiency in both Chinese (traditional and simplified) and English.
• An interest in or basic knowledge of investment concepts and terminology.
• Strong understanding of Chinese culture and language nuances, particularly those relevant to Taiwan and Hong Kong.
• Excellent attention to detail and an ability to identify subtle language discrepancies.
• Basic understanding of website content structure and localization practices.
• Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet deadlines.

The applicable salary range for this position is $25/hr - $35/hr which depends on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs, and market demand
