As we scale, we're searching for an experienced backend developer with a strong DevOps background who's excited to shape the future of social impact technology. Responsibilities

Backend Development (40%)

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs using Rust.
• Optimize existing backend systems for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to streamline development workflows.

Infrastructure Management (40%)

• Maintain and enhance our cloud infrastructure hosted on Google Cloud Platform.
• Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters and database systems such as AlloyDB (PostgreSQL) and Clickhouse.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code solutions using Pulumi to ensure consistency and reliability across environments.
• Optimize traffic routing, security, and application performance with Cloudflare.

Quality Assurance & Team Coordination (20%)

• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Coordinate development tasks within the team, provide accurate estimations, and communicate progress effectively.
• Mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture.

Requirements

• Proven Expertise in backend development, particularly with Rust.
• Experience in Cloud Infrastructure on GCP, focusing on reliability and scalability.
• Deep Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and cluster management.
• Hands-on Experience with databases like AlloyDB (PostgreSQL) and Clickhouse.
• Familiarity with Pulumi for infrastructure management and GitHub Actions for efficient deployment.
• Growth Mindset , driven to master new technologies and solve complex challenges.
• Strong Ownership and Accountability , working independently while maintaining quality and clear communication.
