Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A surgical technologist position is available to support orthopedic and spine surgeries in a well-established outpatient surgery center known for its commitment to high-quality patient care. This role involves working alongside surgeons specializing in hand, foot and ankle, sports medicine, total joint replacement, and spine procedures, including robotic-assisted surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms with appropriate instruments and equipment for orthopedic and spine surgeries.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and anticipating surgical needs.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
• Document surgical procedures accurately as per unit guidelines.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Follow dress code requirements and maintain professional appearance adhering to provided scrubs.

Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist credential preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Demonstrated experience in orthopedic surgical technology, particularly in total joint replacement and spine surgery.
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and operating room protocols.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Schedule:

• 10-hour shifts, primarily from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• No nights, weekends, or holidays.
• Potential for overtime.

Location Overview: Position is based in an orthopedic outpatient surgical center located in the Tallahassee area of Florida. This region offers a blend of suburban and urban living, with access to cultural amenities, parks, and quality healthcare facilities. The center features six OR rooms with a 1:1 patient ratio, staffed by dedicated OR nurses and scrub techs, ensuring a collaborative and supportive work environment.
