Special Education Teacher at Onward Search Education summary:

The Special Education Teacher provides tailored instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development. Location: In-person (no hybrid or remote options)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, full-time school schedule

Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours per week

Position Details:

• Support students with diverse learning needs by differentiating instruction to meet their individual educational goals.

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), modify curriculum, and track student progress.

• Provide individualized instruction to cultivate academic, social, and emotional growth while managing student behavior and fostering inclusion.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field.

• Special Education Teaching Certification in the state of IL.

• Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education Endorsement.
