The Controller is responsible for the preparation of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk and ensure accuracy of the company's financial results

*Job Responsibilities*

· Oversee all daily accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations;

· Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements;

· Manage the annual budget process and monthly forecasting, including variance analysis;

· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings;

· Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure integrity of financial data;

· Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and development;

· Coordinate year-end audit activities with external auditors;

· Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making;

· Implement and improve accounting systems, processes, and reporting tools to support growth;

· Monitor and manage cash flow and banking relationships;

· Performs other required tasks as assigned.

*Job Requirements*

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, plus ten (10) years of progressively responsible fiscal accounting experience;

· At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role.

· Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

· Proficiency with Spectrum construction/accounting software;

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills;

· High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite specifically Microsoft Excel;

· Ability to understand and resolve complex accounting and technical problems;

· Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $175,000.00 per year
